Motion Photography

This is a collection of videos that I've worked on in some capacity.

Mometrix Test Preparation

I currently lead a multimedia content creation team at Mometrix Test Preparation making educational videos and audiobooks to accompany our study guides. It's pretty neat: if you buy one of our study guides, you'll find links to these videos all over the books to help you understand the topics better. We’ve made 1,057+ videos since I started in late 2017, which adds up to 109 hours of finished content.

I’ve also had the pleasure of working with Campbell Medical Illustration on our nursing videos. They do a fantastic job at illustration and animation and are a great team to work with.

Charles Koch Foundation Grant Opportunities Commercials

This is a set of four commercials we shot advertising various grants CKF offers. My team of four completed all of the work, from pre-pro to editing, although we were not responsible for distribution. I led in production on a fairly aggressive six-week schedule, and also did most of the location scouting and location handling (we shot in 3 different locations over 2 days). I also did the talent scouting, wrangling, and payments. I worked with our DP on the location and cameras/lighting to make sure everything would work smoothly. On set, I was dolly grip, and helped set up the lights and camera. And, of course, tear-down, and drove the box truck. On a small team you do a lot of different things.

Shot on RED Epic.

Koch/UNCF Scholarships

During the Koch/UNCF 2017 summit, my team shot 20-odd interviews. It was a marathon weekend. We then had the opportunity to fly out to the hometowns of two of the scholarship recipients and film a longer mini-doc with them.

I was responsible for making the schedule and travel arrangements, and ran a camera and Ronin during shoots.

Shot on Canon C100 and Sony A7s.

Foreign Policy Roundtable

This series was our attempt to make a fairly dry subject interesting and enjoyable. I'll leave it up to you to decide if we succeeded. I didn't do as much on this shoot: wheel-man (technical term), dolly grip, PA.

Shot on Canon C100.

Criminal Justice Explainer Series

This is a highly-successful series (for us, at least) that the team at Kurzgesagt animated for us. I helped out with the interview with Vikrant Reddy and managed the vendor relationship.
